Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is an atmospheric adventure that trusts you to pay attention. You wander a foggy lighthouse town, tapping to examine objects, piecing together what happened to the people who left. There's no combat, just exploration, notes, and gentle environmental puzzles.

The art is hand-drawn and genuinely beautiful, and the sound design does a lot of heavy lifting. Waves, distant bells, creaking wood. We played most of it with headphones and it was worth it. Puzzles are logical rather than obtuse, so you rarely need a guide.

It's a short experience, maybe three hours, but it lingers. If you like slow, melancholy games that tell a story through place, this is an easy recommendation.
